TROGIR OUTDOOR FESTIVAL 2024.
The old town of Trogir, along with the island of Čiovo, has been the host of the most recognizable outdoor sports event in central Dalmatia for several years in a row. Trogir Outdoor Festival is traditionally held during the month of May, enriching the tourist offer in the pre-season period and continuing to nurture the Trogir tradition of mastery.
Every year, the Trogir Outdoor Festival attracts hundreds of competitors who have the opportunity to show their sports skills through sailing, running and triathlon and to be included in the list of Trogir masters of sports.
SAILING 3 – 5 May 2024
The festival begins under the walls of Kamerlengo fortress when „Masters of sail“ stage a fascinating regatta of the Melges 24 Cup class, from 3 – 5 May 2024, shows all the pageantry of Croatian sailors.

Trogir Outdoor Festival continues its program on May 25, 2024 with the „Masters of trail“ race, organized by the Trogir Tourist Board and Trail and Trekking Club Strka. Trail running is becoming increasingly popular in the world as well as in Croatia. Trail races are held on natural terrain, hills, mountains and disarrayed roads. This is exactly why the island of Čiovo has proven to be an ideal destination for active vacation and sports activities. In addition to the beautiful landscape, it has numerous trails and roads perfect for trail competitions
FIRE
- The most demanding route, FIRE, is 20 km long and suitable for more advanced competitors.
- Starts at 05:00 P.M. next to the monastery of Our Lady of Prizidnica (Slatine) on the island of Čiovo, passes by the church of St. Mavra (Žedno) and ends in Trogir.
- The limit for finishing the race is 4 hours (until 09:00PM). The time limit at the control point (which is also a refreshment point) near Žedno (16 km) is 3 hours (until 20:00). Runners who do not arrive within that time limit will not be able to continue the race. If they do not have the possibility of someone picking them up, the organizer will provide transportation to the finish line (as soon as possible).
- Mandatory equipment: mobile phone with a full battery and a headlamp. It will not be possible to start without the mandatory equipment.
- Competitors will be transported from the Trogir promenade to the start by an organized van/bus. Departure by organized transport is at 04:15 pm at the beginning of the Trogir promenade, next to the bridge (extension for the taxi stand) – it is necessary to arrive at the place of departure at least 10 minutes before.
EARTH
- EARTH is an 11 km long route and is suitable for recreational and more advanced competitors.
- Starts at 5:30 pm on the Trogir promenade, then through Žedno, via the church of St. Mavra and ends in Trogir promenade.
- The limit for finishing the race is 3 and a half hours (until 09:00 pm).
- Mandatory equipment: mobile phone with a full battery and a headlamp. It will not be possible to start without the mandatory equipment.
WATER
- WATER is a 5 km long trail and is suitable for beginners, walkers, recreationists and children (not younger than 7 years).
- The start is at 5:30 pm on the Trogir promenade, going over the monastery of St. Ante and ends again in the Trogir promenade.
- The limit for finishing the race is 2 hours (until 07:30 pm).
- Mandatory equipment: mobile phone with full battery. It will not be possible to start without the mandatory equipment.
The whole trail adventure of the Trogir Outdoor Festival is marked by an enjoyable program and entertaining music. Medals and valuable prizes are awarded to the winners in the male and female categories at the end of the competition.

TRIATHLON MAY 26, 2024
The sporting spirit and cheerful atmosphere continue on May 26, 2024 when the „Masters of triathlon“ step onto the Trogir starting line. They show their strength, courage and perseverance by swimming behind the Kamerlengo fortress, cycling on the roads of the island of Čiovo and running around the old town center of Trogir.
After completing their disciplines, competitors can recharge their batteries with delicious Dalmatian food, have fun with a DJ program and attend the announcement of winners. Triathlon in Trogir is truly an incredible experience that will be remembered for a long time.
Such an unforgettable experience is supported by numerous volunteers who cheer and provide assistance to competitors on all sections and refreshments of the race. Equally, the professionalism and calmness of the HTS, police, firemen, GSS and emergency services enable the races to be at the highest level of safety.
